Burnt Ends Bakery & SPRMRKT / Guerilla Coffee are set in Dempsey Hill, a lifestyle and culinary destination nestled in the lush greenery of Bukit Timah in Singapore. This enchanting enclave houses a selection of pet friendly cafes that cater to every palate, from coffee connoisseurs to brunch enthusiasts.

These newest additions to the Dempsey cafe scene deliver a refreshing option to the existing crowd favourites such as PS Cafe at Harding Road, Open Farm Community, and Hathaway.

Both Burnt Ends and SPRMRKT have been crowd favourites of the local community of pet owners and have been a prominent choice for brunch and coffee spots.

Burnt Ends Bakery

Burnt Ends requires little to no introduction, since its opening in the Central Business District of Singapore and relocation to Dempsey Rd, it has had a cult-like following for their Australian-style barbecue with its iconic open kitchen. The original four-tonne brick kiln designed by chef-owner Dave Pynt is still the centrepiece of this Michelin-acclaimed establishment.

In early 2022, following its relocation, a quaint bakery opened in the corner of 7 Dempsey Rd serving up Brioche Doughnuts, Sourdough Pizzas, and Specialty Coffee. Grab a half dozen doughnuts and settle outside with the picturesque landscape and inviting atmosphere. The open free-seating area boasts up to 50 seats catering to big crowds and ardent fans of this bakery on the weekends. You will be delighted to meet other dog owners and their pups dining in this area too.

The Milo Dinosaur Doughnut ($5), Nutella Doughnut ($5), & Iranian Pistachio Doughnuts ($6) were our favourites. The doughnuts were soft and fluffy with a light eggy outer shell, filled with rich and sweet filling of your choice that evoked visceral emotions from the textures and flavours.

Quench your thirst in the sunny singapore weather with a cup of specialty coffee roasted in-house, served fresh on the hopper by expert baristas working on the popular classic espresso machine by La Marzocco. Watching the baristas work on the spring-loaded device to extract that liquid gold of concentrated coffee is a performance in itself. A Flat White coffee ($6) is an aussie favourite of 1:2 espresso to milk, creating a velvety texture for a delicious round up of your brunch. Otherwise, Cold Brewed coffee ($9) is also available to cool you down in the hot weather.

We enjoyed our experience at this bakery with delicious doughnuts and ample seating available for everyone.

SPRMRKT X Guerilla Coffee

SPRMRKT Cafe at 01-15A, 8 Dempsey Rd Singapore is a hidden gem nestled amidst lush greenery. This charming café offers an inviting vibe with its rustic decor and cozy ambiance. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the delightful display of delectable pastries and gourmet dishes. The menu has a wide selection ranging from hearty brunch options to flavourful mains and artisanal sandwiches.

Coffee is freshly roasted weekly by Guerilla Coffee, the team behind Caffeine Solutions and the high-tech Slayer Espresso machine. Pick from their variety of single origin or specialty coffee blends for your regular pick-me-up to go along with the delicious brunch options here.

Whether you are looking to enjoy a leisurely brunch or catch up with friends over a cup of tea, SPRMRKT Cafe provides a perfect retreat to indulge in delicious food and conversation.
